Syrian Exporters Association
for Clothes & Textiles
STGEA Board of Directors
Plan of Action
(2009 2011)
Introduction
STGEA is an economical association aiming to care about its own members benefits and business development. So obviously, STGEA is supposed to have an important role facing the internal and external difficulties that the Syrian industry, and the textile export specifically, was and still suffering from.
Furthermore, the structural problems the Syrian industry inherited, due to accumulations, throughout decades of self-enclosure and lack of exposure to new management arts.
Recently, the effect of globalization and worldwide open markets, made the competition much tougher and harder than ever before, challenging our national industries to utilize all its capacities and competitive advantages to face overseas competitors, especially those whom plan in a continent and execute in another.
